Outlook / Outlook Express HTML Signatures


To add an email signature to Microsoft Outlook Express:

1. Copy the InQuotes signature text and paste it into a text editor (NOT WORD - notepad or other text editor. Notepad is under Programs > Accessories in Windows.)
2. Save this file to your Desktop or My Documents as "signature.html" (NOT as.txt file)

2. Open Microsoft Outlook Express
3. Select Tools: then Options:
4. Select: Signatures tab
5. Click: New
6. Check: Add signatures to all outgoing messages
7. From the Edit Signature section Click: File
8. Next select Browse and find "signature.html" (Look in: Desktop or My Documents)
9. Next click: Apply

Notes: From the Edit Signature section, you can also edit above the InQuotes graphic with your name and contact info.
The signature.html file needs to stay in place as it is read each time Outlook is accessed. Also, any revisions made to this file would be reflected in subsequent emails.

 


Add your InQuotes signature in Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2003

1. Copy the InQuotes signature text and paste it into a text editor (NOT WORD - notepad or other text editor. Notepad is under Programs > Accessories in Windows.)
2. Save this file to your Desktop or My Documents as "signature.html" (NOT as.txt file)

3. Open Microsoft Outlook
4. Select Tools: then Options:
5. Select: Mail Format tab
6 Make sure: Send in this message format: HTML is selected
7. Click: Signatures... (bottom right area)
8. From the Create Signatures screen Click: New
9. Enter name for this signature (such as "IQ Signature")
10. Check: "Use this file as a template" and click Next and Browse
11. Find: "signature.html" (Look in: Desktop or My Documents)
12. Click: Select and then Next in the Create New Signature window
13. Next you should see an edit signature window with the signature visible

14. You can also edit above the InQuotes graphic with your name and contact info
15. Click: Finish
16 Next you should see window with your signature(s). Click the new IQ Signature and then OK
17 Back to the Mail Format window you can see the new IQ Signature set as your default. Click OK
